The official Chinese calligraphy for Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) was elegantly crafted by Dato’ Sri Dr. Hou Kok Chung, Deputy Chairman of the University’s Board of Governors. This artistic rendition was unveiled to Chinese audiences through the China Now TV program, which filmed at TAR UMT’s main campus.
Dr. Yap Hon Lun, Head of ISER, joined Professor Zhang Weiwei (Dean of the China Institute, Fudan University) and Dr. Oh Ei Sun (Principal Adviser of the Pacific Research Center of Malaysia) for an engaging panel discussion on China Now TV. The episode, filmed at TAR UMT’s main campus and hosted by renowned TV personality He Jie, fostered a thought-provoking exchange on contemporary Sino-Malaysian relations and shared regional perspectives.
Mr. H’ng Gaik Hong, Senior Lecturer at ISER detailed the institutional evolution and legacy of TARUMT with Prof. Zhang Weiwei.
Dr. Yap Hon Lun participated in a panel discussion on the China Now TV show, moderated by He Jie.
A commemorative group photo was taken at the China Now TV show’s temporary studio, set within the Auditorium of Tun Tan Siew Sin Building at TAR UMT, featuring panelists, host He Jie, and special guests following their lively discussions on Sino-Malaysian relations.
